Wedding - Nikki and Alex

In June 2009 I had the pleasure of photographing my friend's wedding. It was a mix of traditional and punk - the boys wore kilts and the wedding party's first dance was to Rancid. The day started out at Nikki's house with her parents while she and the girls got ready. After that I ventured over to the boys and got some shots with them in their kilts...The ceremony was in a small church in Kitchener and due to rain a bunch of photos had to be taken indoors. After that though, the skies cleared up and we headed to the golf course in New Dundee for the reception. Drove around in some golf carts and got some fun shots. 

Travel - Italy

In the summer of 2009, I embarked on a trip around Italy. I LOVE Italian food, wine, history... so I was stoked to go. I saw Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento, Florence, Venice, the leaning tower of Pisa and a few other random places in between. Rome was awesome, seeing the old Roman forums and the iconic Colosseum was beyond words. Pompeii had been a dream of mine to visit since I was a child, and it didn't disappoint. Sorrento was spent relaxing in the sun on a sailboat on a trip around Capri. There was so much artistic history in Florence, and the Tuscan hills were beautiful. And Venice, you can't forget Venice - an incredible city of narrow passages and lots and lots of bridges.

Travel - Canada

As much as I love to get out of Canada, there are lots of things I love here IN Canada. I've spent lots of time in Ottawa, and have been to Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and a zillion small towns in between. I always think you need to be able to appreciate what you've got in your own back yard before you can appreciate what you see around the globe!

Travel - Ireland

My very first trip where I got on an airplane and flew over the ocean was to Ireland in 1996. My aunt and uncle took my cousins and I when we were about 15. After that trip, we vowed to one day go back, say, 10 years down the road. We weren't quite able to go 10 years later, mostly due to my being in Australia and Meaghan having Wylie, but we made it back in July of 2007. We visited Dublin, Galway, Killarney, Blarney Castle, Belfast and the north coast - it was an amazing trip.
