I only had a short short time while I was in France to see the main sights. One of the main things I wanted to do was see the Eiffel tower - something that can be enjoyed without spending a tonne of money and doesn't require a line up (only partly true-both money and a LOT of time are needed if you desire going UP the tower). I walked from my hostel to the tower and proceed to take a LOT of pictures. And then, before I left the next day, returned to the tower to take pictures at night. Every hour, on the hour for 10 minutes, the tower lights up with 1000s of little blue LED lights - the whole thing twinkles and it's beautiful. I managed to get there in time to see the event at midnight and joined the massive amount of people laying on the grass enjoying the view before heading back to the hostel to get some much needed sleep.
A photographer with a keen interest in traveling, I always have a camera with me. These are some of my shots.

France - Le Tour d'Eiffel
France - A Bit of Everything
I landed in Paris and spent about 48 hours total wandering the city between resting my weary legs. I walked about 20km one day!! 48 hours is just not enough to see anything in Paris... I did a bike tour on the Saturday that I was there, which stopped by a bunch of the famous landmarks. I think my favourite part (aside from the Eiffel tower) was sitting outside the Louvre, resting my feet in the fountain.
Finland - Aug 2010
In August this year I made my way to France with Finnair. Because of the way the flights were going I was forced to spend a night in Helsinki. I jumped at the chance to see another city. Lucky for me, a good friend of mine knew someone who lived in Helsinki who was willing to show me around and let me crash on his couch.
